We are sponsoring the UK Data Vault User Group

The UK Data Vault User Group (www.ukdvug.org.uk) is holding it’s inaugural meeting on 10th September in London and we are proud sponsors.  The remit of the new group is “Sharing knowledge and experience of building Data Warehouses and Business Intelligence platforms using Data Vault 2.0”.

Sponsoring this the group is an obvious thing for us to do because we are passionate believers in the merits of the Data Vault 2.0 method

Sponsoring this the group is an obvious thing for us to do because we are passionate believers in the merits of the Data Vault 2.0 method.  While most of the existing data warehouses were generally schooled in Ralph Kimball’s star schema and conformed dimensions approach or Bill Inmon’s data factory, relatively few will have considered Dan Linstedt’s Data Vault 2.0 method.  Going forward with the challenges of moderising existing warehouses, new Big Data projects and the increasing overhead of compliance we believe organisations should be considering this approach.

The new user group is a not-for-profit forum to spread the word about the benefits of Data Vault 2.0.  It will give people the opportunity to both learn the basics and for experts to share tips and tricks in the context of real-world examples.

We think the opening meeting should be an excellent start because Dan Linstedt himself is attending and giving a talk upon his Data Vault 2.0 method and answering questions from the floor.  We look forward to seeing you there (details here).
